DTN Closing Grain Comments 09/29 13:50 Corn Fights Back From Tuesday's Risk-Off Selling December corn closed up 6 1/2 cents Wednesday, taking back all but 1/2-cent of Tuesday's risk-off selling, related mostly to concerns in the financial markets. Other grains defied Wednesday's higher U.S. dollar and also closed higher, except for a 3 3/4-cent loss in December Minneapolis wheat. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: December corn closed up 6 1/2 cents and March corn was up 6 1/2 cents. November soybeans closed up 6 3/4 cents and March soybeans were up 6 cents. December KC wheat closed up 6 3/4 cents, December Chicago wheat was up 3 3/4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat was down 3 3/4 cents. The December U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.59 at 94.37. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 249.43 points at 34,549.42. December gold is down $14.00 at $1,723.50, December silver is down $0.97 at $21.50 and December copper is down $0.0530. November crude oil is down $0.37 at $74.92, November heating oil is up $0.0163, November RBOB gasoline is up $0.0268 and November natural gas is down $0.415.
