DTN Early Word Grains 09/29 05:54 Grains Shake Tuesday's Selling, Start Higher December corn is up 2 3/4 cents, November soybeans are up 1 1/2 cents and December KC wheat is up 5 1/4 cents. CME Globex Recap: Early Wednesday, Dow Jones futures are trading higher, along with higher trade in Europe and on the heels of Tuesday's 569-point drop. The Wall Street Journal reported China's troubled real estate developer, Evergrande, agreed to sell part of its stake in a regional bank for $1.5 billion, easing financial concerns. Federal Reserve Chairman Jerome Powell told the Senate Tuesday that inflation is likely to remain elevated and investors continue to have concerns about a possible government shutdown later this week. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 569.38 at 34,299.99 and the S&P 500 down 90.48 at 4,352.63 as the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 1.53%. Early Wednesday, December Dow Jones futures are trading up 200 points. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 index down 2.12% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 1.83%. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.84%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 0.95% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 1.10%. The December euro is down $0.0013 at $1.1682. The December U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.05 at 93.83. The December 30-year T-bond is up 12/32nds, while December gold is up $5.20 at $1,742.70 and November crude oil is down $0.61 at $74.68. On China's Dalian exchange, January corn was down 0.2%, November soybeans were down 0.5%, January soybean meal was down 1.1% and January soybean oil was up 1.0%. September common wheat on China's Zhengzhou exchange was unchanged%. December Malaysian palm oil is trading up 0.4%.
