Exporter bids also show premiums of $1 per bushel or more being paid for low protein soft white. Shipments...USDA reported a marketing year low for US wheat shipments last week, coming in at just 5.1 mb to put year-to-date loadings at 343 mb and 12% behind a year ago. Hard red winter shipped a total of 3.5 mb off all US ports while both hard red spring and soft white saw loadings come to a virtual standstill, with less than a million bushel shippped. South Korea and Taiwan were the only takes off the west coast. Crop Progress...Cooler weather and recent moisture encouraged further winter wheat planting across the PNW last week. Washington and Idaho are both showing progress above 90% with average emergence, while Oregon is lagging the average pace and emergence 10% below the 5-year average. -Norm Ruhoff Contributing Analyst Copyright 2021 DTN/Telvent.
