DTN Early Word Grains 03/19 05:45 Grain Markets Slightly Lower Tuesday Morning in Quiet Trade May corn is down 1/4 cent per bushel, May soybeans are down 1 1/4 cents, May KC wheat is up 1 1/4 cents, May Chicago wheat is down 2 1/2 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is steady. Kent Beadle, DTN Contributing Analyst EARLY MORNING GLOBEX NET CHANGES: May corn is down 1/4 cent per bushel, May soybeans are down 1 1/4 cents, May KC wheat is up 1 1/4 cents, May Chicago wheat is down 2 1/2 cents and May Minneapolis wheat is steady. CME GLOBEX RECAP: World equity markets are mixed Tuesday morning. The U.S. market staged a small rally Monday with no new economic news reported. Tuesday morning, we will get Housing starts and Building Permits. The market is likely to remain quiet ahead of this week's Fed meeting Tuesday and Wednesday. The post meeting communique and Chairman Powell's press conference will be the next major driver of price action. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 75.66 at 38,790.43 and the S&P 500 up 32.33 at 5,149.42, The 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 4.34%. Early Tuesday, the June Dow Jones Futures are down 31 points. European markets are mixed with the spot futures of London's FTSE 100 trading down 0.1%, spot futures of Germany's DAX is trading up 0.15% and the spot futures of France's CAC 40 Index up 0.28%. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 Index up 0.66% and China's Shanghai Composite Index down 0.72%.
