DTN Closing Livestock Comment 09/11 15:24 Cattle Futures Close Lower Live and feeder cattle futures closed lower Friday. Lean hogs were also weaker. By Rick Kment DTN Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: From Friday to Friday livestock futures scored the following Changes: Oct LC, Up $0.13; Dec LC, Off $0.40; Sep FC, Off $0.65; Oct FC, Off $0.60; Oct LH, Off $1.83 Dec LH, Off $0.70. Cash cattle trade was noted Friday in Kansas with steer and heifer sales at $140 live; in Nebraska at $139-$140 live and $217-$219 dressed steers. In Iowa dressed steers and heifers sold for $218-$219. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base is $0.88 lower compared with the Prior Day settlement ($60.00-$67.50, weighted average $66.05). Corn closed up 12 3/4 cents in the September and up 12 3/4 cents in the December. The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 102 points higher.
