Trading activity remains limited, with basis levels holding firm on hard red winter and moving a nickel higher today for white wheat and hard red spring. Japan was in the market this week, covering a total of 4.3 mb of their November-December requirements that included 2.4 mb of US wheat, 1.1 mb of Canadian springs and 800,000 bushels from Australia. Weekly Sales..US wheat sales came in at the high end of expectations, recording the best week of demand in over a month with nearly 17 mb. Top buyer was unknown, accounting for 4 mb of the weekly total. Top sellers were hard red winter and hard red spring with 5 mb each. White wheat saw 3 mb in new bookings and stands 10% behind a year ago with 77 mb sold. -Norm Ruhoff Contributing Analyst Copyright 2015 DTN/Telvent. All Rights Reserved.
