By Darin Newsom DTN Senior Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: December corn was fractionally lower, November soybeans were 2 cents higher, and December Chicago wheat was unchanged. CME Globex Recap: Grains posted a quiet overnight session with corn and wheat trading in 3-cent ranges through early Wednesday. Soybean contracts posted 5-cent trading ranges. All of this, low volume trade, is normal for a Wednesday and expected to continue throughout the day session. Outside markets were lower with only spot distillates posting a small gain. OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 13.43 points lower Tuesday at 17,217.11. The NASDAQ Composite was down 24.50 points at 4,880.97. DJIA futures were 75 points higher overnight. Asian markets were mostly higher with the Nikkei up 347.13 points at 18,554.28. However, China's Shanghai Composite was down 104.65 points (3.1%). European markets were also mostly higher. The U.S. dollar index was down 0.057 at 94.856. Crude oil was $0.59 lower at $45.70 while Brent crude was $0.21 lower at $48.50. December gold was $2.50 lower at $1,175.00. Dalian soybean futures were mostly lower while Malaysian palm oil futures were higher.
