DTN Closing Livestock Comment 10/22 15:49 Cattle Futures Higher Thursday Live and feeder cattle futures closed higher Thursday, while lean hog contracts were lower. By Rick Kment DTN Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: Cash cattle trade remains at a complete standstill. According to the closing report, the Iowa hog base is $0.71 lower compared with the prior day settlement ($65.50-$71.00, weighted average $69.56). Corn futures closed lower, down 2 1/2 cents in the December and down 2 3/4 in the July.
