DTN Early Word Grains 11/03 05:57 Not So Turnaround Tuesday December corn was unchanged, January soybeans were 1 cent lower, and December Chicago wheat was 1 cent lower. By Darin Newsom DTN Senior Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: December corn was unchanged, January soybeans were 1 cent lower, and December Chicago wheat was 1 cent lower. CME Globex Recap: Grain contracts were mostly lower early Tuesday morning, though December corn was near unchanged after posting a 1 cent trading range overnight. Soybeans were also quiet, showing small losses, while wheat was down just over a penny. Outside markets were mostly higher led by the energy complex. The U.S. dollar index was also higher while DJIA futures were lower. OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 165.22 points higher Monday at 17,828.76. The NASDAQ Composite was up 73.40 points at 5,127.15. DJIA futures were 29 points lower overnight. Asian markets were mostly higher though China's Shanghai Composite was down 8.39 points. European markets were also mostly higher. The U.S. dollar index was up 0.217 at 97.145. Crude oil was $0.37 higher at $46.51 while Brent crude was $0.37 higher at $49.16. December gold was $4.40 lower at $1,131.50. Dalian soybean futures and Malaysian palm oil futures were lower.
