DTN Early Word Grains 11/18 05:56 Same Stuff, Different Day December corn was 1 cent higher, January soybeans were 3 cents higher, and December Chicago wheat was fractionally lower. By Darin Newsom DTN Senior Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: December corn was 1 cent higher, January soybeans were 3 cents higher, and December Chicago wheat was fractionally lower. CME Globex Recap: Another early morning shows grains doing pretty much what they do every morning: corn and soybeans are posting small gains while wheat is lower, all on continued commercial support. Outside markets were mostly higher, supported by a slightly lower U.S. dollar index. DJIA futures were also lower overnight, pressured by slightly by mixed overseas markets. OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 6.49 points higher Tuesday at 17,489.50. The NASDAQ Composite was up 1.40 points at 4,986.02. DJIA futures were 18 points lower overnight. Asian markets were mixed with the Nikkei up 18.55 points at 19,649.18 and China's Shanghai Composite was down 36.33 points. European markets were mostly lower. The U.S. dollar index was down 0.161 at 99.470. Crude oil was $0.75 higher at $41.42 while Brent crude was $0.98 higher at $44.55. December gold was $0.30 higher at $1,068.90. Dalian soybean futures and Malaysian palm oil futures were both higher.
