DTN Early Word Grains 11/23 05:59 Soybeans Lead Grains Lower December corn was fractionally lower, January soybeans were 10 cents lower, and December Chicago wheat was 2 cents lower. By Darin Newsom DTN Senior Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: December corn was fractionally lower, January soybeans were 10 cents lower, and December Chicago wheat was 2 cents lower. CME Globex Recap: Soybeans were slow to react to the results of Argentina's weekend run-off presidential election, but as the overnight session progressed pressure continued to build. Spillover selling, along with a stronger U.S. dollar index, pulled the other grains lower as well. Outside markets were also under pressure with crude oil posting a sharp $1-plus sell-off through early Monday morning. OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 91.06 points higher Friday at 17,823.81. The NASDAQ Composite was up 31.28 points at 5,104.92. DJIA futures were 36 points lower overnight. Asian markets were mixed while European markets were mostly lower. The U.S. dollar index was up 0.249 at 99.817. Crude oil was $1.28 lower at $40.62 while Brent crude was $0.87 lower at $43.79. December gold was $7.90 lower at $1,068.40. Dalian soybean futures were higher while Malaysian palm oil futures were lower.
