By Darin Newsom DTN Senior Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: March corn was 1 cent lower, March soybeans were 1 cent lower, and March Chicago wheat was 2 cents lower. CME Globex Recap: It's a case of more of the same in most markets early Wednesday with grains and energies trading lower and gold rallying. The U.S. dollar index continues to firm as the debate over England leaving the European Union weakens the euro. As would be expected, at least in the current environment, DJIA futures followed global equity markets lower with the sector in general pressured by this week's renewed weakness in oil. OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 188.88 points lower at 16,431.78, the NASDAQ Composite was down 67.03 points at 4,503.58, and the S&P 500 fell 24.23 points to close at 1,921.27 Tuesday. DJIA futures were 120 points lower overnight. Asian markets were mostly lower with the Nikkei down 136.26 points (0.9%) while China's Shanghai Composite rallied 25.56 points (0.9%). European markets were lower with London's FTSE 100 down 75.60 points (1.3%). The U.S. dollar index was 0.303 higher at 97.784. Crude oil was down $0.97 at $30.90 while Brent crude fell $0.65 to $32.62. April gold was $13.90 higher at $1,236.50. China's Dalian soybean and Malaysian palm oil futures were both lower.
