By Darin Newsom DTN Senior Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: May corn was near unchanged, May soybeans were near unchanged, and July Kansas City wheat was 1 cent lower. CME Globex Recap: Grains were quiet overnight ahead of what is expected to be a very loud display. Not only is Thursday the end of the month and end of the quarter, enough to bring its own brand of wacky trade, but USDA's Quarterly Stocks and Prospective Plantings are also scheduled. Outside markets were mostly lower a day ahead of the release of March jobs data. OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 83.55 points higher at 17,716.66, the NASDAQ Composite was up 22.67 points at 4,869.29, while the S&P 500 rallied 8.93 points to close at 2,063.94 Wednesday. DJIA futures were 19 points lower overnight. Asian markets were mixed with the Nikkei down 120.29 points (0.7%) while China's Shanghai Composite rallied 3.27 points (0.1%). European markets were lower with London's FTSE 100 down 36.20 points (0.6%). The U.S. dollar index was down 0.195 at 94.646. Crude oil was down $0.44 at $37.88 while Brent crude slipped $0.01 to $39.25. June gold was $6.90 higher at $1,235.50. China's Dalian soybean futures and Malaysian palm oil futures were both lower.
