By Darin Newsom DTN Senior Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: July corn was 1 cent higher, July soybeans were 1 cent lower, and July Kansas City wheat was 1 cent higher. CME Globex Recap: Grains were lower early Friday morning, taking a breather heading into the last trading session of the month. Soybeans were under the most pressure, down 4 cents, following Thursday's bearish close. Corn and wheat were relatively quiet overnight. Outside markets continued to garner more interest with the U.S. dollar index falling to its lowest level since October 2015 while gold and crude oil test 2016 highs. OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 210.79 points lower at 17,830.76, the NASDAQ Composite was down 57.85 points at 4,805.29, and the S&P 500 lost 19.34 points to close at 2,075.81 Thursday. DJIA futures were 6 points higher overnight. Asian markets were mostly lower. The Nikkei was closed for holiday while China's Shanghai Composite fell 7.27 points (0.3%). European markets were lower with London's FTSE 100 down 40.31 points (0.6%). The U.S. dollar index fell to a new 6-month low of 93.248 overnight; trading at 93.381, down 0.380 early Friday morning. Crude oil gained $0.56 to $46.59 after posting a new 2016 high of $46.63 while Brent crude rallied $0.33 to $48.47. June gold was $12.50 higher at $1,278.90. China's Dalian soybean futures and Malaysian palm oil futures were both lower Friday morning.
