DTN Closing Livestock Comment 05/04 15:15 Livestock Futures Close Mixed Wednesday Live cattle futures closed mostly higher again Wednesday, up 22 to 107. Feeder cattle contracts were mixed, up 152 to down 57. Lean hog futures were steady to 110 lower. By Rick Kment DTN Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: The cash cattle market remained untested Wednesday. A few asking prices were noted in the South at $127. According to the closing report, the national hog base is $1.06 higher compared with the Prior Day settlement ($65.50-73.50, weighted average $71.05). Corn futures were lower again Wednesday, down 5 in the May, down 3 in the July and down 2 1/2 in the September.
