DTN Closing Livestock Comment 05/17 15:08 Livestock Futures Close Mostly Higher Live cattle futures closed higher Tuesday, up 12 to 40. Feeder cattle contracts were also higher, up 57 to 142. Lean hog futures were mixed to mostly higher, up 27 to down 27. By Rick Kment DTN Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: According to the closing report, the national hog base is $0.81 higher compared with the Prior Day settlement ($68.00-$77.50, weighted average $75.54). Corn closed up 3 cents in the July contract and up 3 3/4 cents in the December.
