DTN Closing Livestock Comment 05/18 15:09 Cattle Futures Close Mostly Higher Live cattle futures closed mostly higher Wednesday, up 15 to 65. Feeder cattle were also mostly higher at 5 to 57 higher. Lean hog futures closed lower, down 25 to 152. By Rick Kment DTN Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: According to the closing report, the national hog base is $0.11 higher compared with the Prior Day settlement ($68.00-$77.00, weighted average $75.66). Corn closed up 2 1/2 cents in the July contract and up 2 1/4 cents in the December.
