DTN Early Word Grains 06/02 05:58 July Soybeans Over $11 July corn was down 3/4 cent, July soybeans were up 6 cents, and July Chicago wheat was up 1/2 cent. By Todd Hultman DTN Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: July corn was down 3/4 cent, July soybeans were up 6 cents, and July Chicago wheat was up 1/2 cent. CME Globex Recap: Commercial buying in soybean meal has returned after a three-day pause and is pushing July soybeans above the $11 mark in early trading. Corn and wheat are slightly lower with mild support from a lower U.S. dollar index and quiet outside markets. OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 2.47 points higher Wednesday at 17,789.67; the NASDAQ Composite was up 4.20 points at 4,952.25, and the S&P 500 was up 2.37 points at 2,099.33. DJIA futures are 7 points lower overnight. Asian markets are mixed with the Nikkei down 280.00 (-1.7%) while China's Shanghai Composite is up .4%. European markets are a little higher with London's FTSE 100 up 35.5 points (+0.6%). The U.S. dollar index is down 0.17 at 95.28. August gold was $4.40 higher at $1,219.10. China's Dalian soybean futures were moderately higher while Malaysian palm oil futures were 1.7% higher.
