By Darin Newsom DTN Senior Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: December corn was 1 cent lower, November soybeans were 1 cent lower, and July Kansas City wheat was 1 cent higher. CME Globex Recap: Global markets will keep a close eye on Thursday's Brexit vote in London as Britain decides whether to leave or stay in the European Union. The British pound sterling ran to its highest levels of the year on late polls favoring "stay." This helped knock the U.S. dollar index down about 0.600 while global equities rallied. As for grains, they did away with overnight pretense and moved lower on weather forecasts that continued to be viewed as bearish. OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 48.90 points lower at 17,780.83, the NASDAQ Composite lost 10.44 points to 4,833.32 and the S&P 500 fell 3.46 points to close at 2,085.44 Wednesday. DJIA futures were 180 points higher overnight. Asian markets were mixed with Japan's Nikkei up 172.63 points (1.1%) while China's Shanghai Composite dipped 13.59 points (0.5%). European markets were higher heading into the Brexit vote with London's FTSE 100 up 97.37 points (1.6%). The U.S. dollar index was down 0.600 to 93.116. Crude oil was up $0.78 to $49.91 while Brent crude rallied $0.90 to $50.78. August gold was $3.90 lower at $1,266.10. China's Dalian soybean futures and Malaysian palm oil futures were higher overnight.
