By Darin Newsom DTN Senior Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: December corn was 5 cents higher, November soybeans were 11 cents higher, and September Kansas City wheat was 4 cents higher. CME Globex Recap: Grains were trading higher early Friday morning. Breaking the mold of what has been seen throughout the week, soybeans led the way up overnight. Outside markets were mixed with crude oil showing gains and gold falling back a bit. DJIA futures were higher and the U.S. dollar index lower as traders await the release of June jobs data Friday morning. OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 22.74 points lower at 17,895.88, the NASDAQ Composite gained 17.65 points to 4,876.81 and the S&P 500 dipped 1.83 points to close at 2,097.90 Thursday. DJIA futures were 24 points higher overnight. Asian markets were mostly lower with Japan's Nikkei down 169.26 points (1.1%) while China's Shanghai Composite fell 28.75 points (1.0%). European markets were mostly higher with London's FTSE 100 off 1.57 points, Germany's DAX was 87.23 points (0.9%) higher, and France's CAC 40 gained 29.08 points (0.7%). The U.S. dollar index was down 0.131 to 96.197. Crude oil rallied $0.23 to $43.57 while Brent crude gained $0.22 to $46.62. August gold was $4.40 lower at $1,357.70. China's Dalian soybean futures and Malaysian palm oil futures were lower again overnight.
