By Darin Newsom DTN Senior Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: December corn was unchanged, November soybeans were 1 cent higher, and December Chicago wheat was 1 cent lower. CME Globex Recap: Grains were higher overnight with November soybeans rallying more than 20 cents during the session. Corn and soybeans were also showing gains solid trade volume through early Monday morning. Outside markets were mostly higher with crude oil, gold, and DJIA futures all higher while the U.S. dollar index was slightly lower. OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 37.05 points lower at 18,576.47, the NASDAQ Composite gained 4.49 points to 5,232.89, and the S&P 500 slipped 1.74 points to close at 2,184.05 Friday. DJIA futures gained 32 points overnight. Asian markets were mixed with Japan's Nikkei down 50.36 points (0.3%) while China's Shanghai Composite gained 74.53 points (2.4%). European markets were mostly higher, but quietly, with London's FTSE 100 up 7.70 points (0.1%), Germany's DAX gained 36.56 points (0.3%), and France's CAC 40 added 1.45 points. The U.S. dollar index was 0.090 lower to 95.632. Crude oil gained $0.24 to $44.73 while Brent crude was $0.20 higher at $47.17. December gold was $1.60 higher at $1,344.80. China's Dalian soybean and Malaysian palm oil futures were both higher overnight.
