DTN Closing Livestock Comment 09/27 15:08 Livestock Futures Close Lower Tuesday Live cattle futures closed triple-digits lower, down 150 to 300. Feeder cattle contracts also were substantially lower, down 122 to 450. Lean hog contracts closed down 95 to 215. By Rick Kment DTN Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: Cash cattle trade saw a little activity Tuesday afternoon with 2,305 head traded in Nebraska at $163. There were some bids in Kansas and Texas at $104 live. These levels are about $4 lower than last week's weighted average. According to the closing report, the national hog base is $0.43 lower compared with the Prior Day settlement ($47.00-$51.50) weighted average $49.96. Corn futures closed higher, up 2 3/4 in December, March and May.
