DTN Closing Livestock Comment 09/30 15:08 Livestock Futures Plunge on Friday Live cattle futures closed triple-digits lower Friday, down 247 to 300. Feeder cattle futures were even worse, down 362 to 435. Lean hog contracts closed down 102 to 300. By Rick Kment DTN Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: From Friday to Friday livestock futures scored the following Changes: Oct LC, Off $8.37; Dec LC, Off $6.73; Oct FC, Off $9.22; Nov FC, Off $10.07, Oct LH, Off $4.98, Dec LH, Off $4.93. Cash cattle trade was done for the week before Friday. The only action noted today were a few bids at $160 in Nebraska. According to the closing report, the national hog base is $0.68 lower compared with the Prior Day settlement ($46.00-$49.25) weighted average $48.27. Corn futures closed higher, up 7 1/2 in the December, March and May contracts.
