DTN Closing Livestock Comment 10/04 15:15 Cattle Futures Close Higher Live cattle futures closed triple-digits higher, up 212 to 297. Feeder cattle contracts were even higher, up 310 to 447. Lean hog futures closed mixed, up 250 to down 72. By Rick Kment DTN Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: Cash cattle trade was quiet on Tuesday. According to the closing report, the national hog base is $0.99 lower compared with the Prior Day settlement ($44.00-$48.00, weighted average $46.57). Corn futures closed higher, up 2 1/4 in December and up 2 1/2 in March.
