DTN Closing Livestock Comment 10/05 15:41 Livestock Futures Close Mixed Wednesday Live cattle futures closed mixed Wednesday, mostly up 7 to 95. Far October was down 7. Feeder cattle futures were lower, down 55 to 90. Lean hog futures were also lower, down 40 to 212. By Rick Kment DTN Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: Light cash cattle trade developed in Kansas on Wednesday afternoon at $102 to $103.50. That's $1.50 lower than last week's weighted average. A few deals were seen in Nebraska at $102 to $103. According to the closing report, the national hog base is $0.05 lower compared with the Prior Day settlement ($43.00-$47.50, weighted average $46.51). Corn futures closed fractionally lower, down 1/2 in December and down 3/4 in March.
