DTN Closing Livestock Comment 10/20 15:16 Cattle Futures Close Triple-Digits Higher Live cattle futures closed higher, up 152 to 300. Feeder cattle contracts finished up 265 to 402. Lean hog futures were mixed, up 52 to down 17. By Rick Kment DTN Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: A few cash sales have been noted in Iowa and Nebraska at $154 dressed, but it is likely most cattle trade will hold off until after the release of the Cattle on Feed report Friday. According to the closing report, the national hog base is $0.33 lower compared with the Prior Day settlement ($42.50-47.00, weighted average $45.47). Corn futures closed lower, down 6 1/2 in the December, March and May contracts.
