DTN Closing Livestock Comment 10/21 15:25 Livestock Futures Close Higher Live cattle futures closed higher, up 77 to 212. Feeder cattle contracts finished up 12 to 125. Lean hog futures were higher, up 70 to 137. By Rick Kment DTN Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: From Friday to Friday livestock futures scored the following Changes: Oct LC, Up $5.25; Dec LC, Up $4.42; Oct FC, Up $1.50; Nov FC, Up $4.05, Dec LH, Off $0.37, Feb LH, Off $1.55. Little cash cattle trade developed as we waited on the Cattle on Feed report. There were some bids at $154 to $155 in the North and $98 in the South. According to the closing report, the national hog base is $0.23 lower compared with the Prior Day settlement ($42.50-46.51, weighted average $45.21). Corn futures closed modestly higher, up 1 1/2 in the December, March and May contracts.
