By Darin Newsom DTN Senior Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: Grains were closed overnight in observance of the U.S. Thanksgiving Holiday. Markets will open at 8:30 (CT). CME Globex Recap: It will be interesting to see if the explosive divergence seen Wednesday between soybean oil and soybean meal, with soybeans caught in the middle, continues Friday. Outside commodities were mostly lower early Friday morning with both crude oil and gold showing losses. The U.S. dollar index was also down overnight while DJIA futures traded higher. OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed 59.31 points (0.3%) higher at 19,083.18. The NASDAQ Composite lost 5.67 points (0.1%) to 5,380.68, and the S&P 500 added 1.78 points (0.1%) to close at 2,204.72 Wednesday. DJIA futures were 45 points higher Friday morning. Asian markets were higher with Japan's Nikkei up 47.81 points (0.3%), Hong Kong's Hang Seng Index gained 114.96 points (0.5%), and China's Shanghai Composite added 20.20 points (0.6%). European markets were mostly lower Friday with London's FTSE 100 up 0.34 points, Germany's DAX down 12.91 points (0.1%), and France's CAC 40 off 5.09 points (0.1%). The U.S. dollar index was 0.330 lower at 101.370. Crude oil dipped $0.47 to $47.49 while Brent crude fell $0.53 to $48.47. December gold was $0.50 lower at $1,188.80. China's Dalian soybean futures were lower while Malaysian palm oil futures were higher overnight.
