DTN Early Word Grains 05/25 06:06 Grains Looking Green Early Thursday July corn was up 1 cent, July soybeans were up 2 1/4 cents, and July Chicago wheat was up 1 3/4 cents. By Todd Hultman DTN Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: July corn was up 1 cent, July soybeans were up 2 1/4 cents, and July Chicago wheat was up 1 3/4 cents. CME Globex Recap: Corn, soybeans, and wheat are all starting a little higher early Thursday with USDA's weekly report of export sales due out at 7:30 a.m. CDT. Rain continues to fall in the eastern Midwest with another round of showers expected this weekend. OUTSIDE MARKETS: The Dow Jones Industrial Average closed up 74.51 points at 21,012.42. The NASDAQ Composite was up 24.31 points at 6,163.02 and the S&P 500 was up 5.97 points at 2,404.39 Wednesday. DJIA futures were up 75 points early Thursday morning. Asian markets were higher with Japan's Nikkei up 70.15 points (0.4%), Hong Kong's Hang Seng up 202.28 points (0.8%), and China's Shanghai Composite up 43.76 points (1.4%). European markets were also higher early Thursday with London's FTSE 100 up 6.76 points (0.1%), Germany's DAX up 12.30 points (0.1%), and France's CAC 40 up 15.51 points (0.3%). The U.S. dollar index was up .04 at 97.14 while the June euro was up 0.00155 at 1.12275. June 30-year T-Bonds were up 8/32nds at 153'25 while June gold was up $3.10 at $1,256.20. July crude oil was down 0.93 at $50.43 while July Brent crude was down $0.90 at $53.06. Soybeans at the Dalian Exchange were mixed overnight and Malaysian palm oil futures are up 0.9%.
