DTN Early Word Grains 09/05 05:58 Better Prices Across the Grain Room December corn was up 1/4, November soybeans were up 1/2, and December K.C. wheat was up 6. Tregg Cronin DTN Contributing Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: December corn was up 1/4, November soybeans were up 1/2, and December K.C. wheat was up 6. CME Globex Recap: Weaker equity and energy markets this morning. After rallying sharply early in the day yesterday, crude oil reversed course yesterday to close near unchanged and finds most contracts down 1.50% this morning. Grains are mostly better but remain in their holding pattern until the next WASDE and more harvest reports are fielded. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 12.34 points at 25,952.48 and the S&P 500 down 4.80 points at 2,896.72 while the 10-year Treasury yield ended at 2.888%. Early Wednesday, DJIA futures were down 11.25. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 down 116.07 (-0.51%) and China's Shanghai Composite down 46.24 (-1.68%). European markets are lower with London's FTSE 100 down 28.78 points (-0.39%), Germany's DAX down 112.22 points (-0.92%), and France's CAC 40 down 67.73 points (-1.27%). The euro was down 0.00035 at 1.15870 and the U.S. dollar index was up 0.0650 at 95.4780. September 30-year T-Bonds were up 11/32nds while December gold was up $1.00 at $1200.10 and October crude oil was down $0.80 at $69.07. Soybeans on China's Dalian Exchange closed down 0.59% while meal was up 1.14%.
