DTN Early Word Grains 09/10 05:52 Mixed Trade to Begin the Week December corn was down 3/4, November soybeans were up 2 1/2, and December K.C. wheat was up 1/2. Tregg Cronin DTN Contributing Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: December corn was down 3/4, November soybeans were up 2 1/2, and December K.C. wheat was up 1/2. CME Globex Recap: Mixed equity markets around the globe as President Trump keeps investors nervous with the threat of even more tariffs on China. The CBOT remains choppy, well inside recent ranges and coiling for the next move once the catalyst is identified. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 79.33 points at 25,916.54 and the S&P 500 down 6.37 points at 2,871.68 while the 10-year Treasury yield ended at 2.944%. Early Monday, DJIA futures were up 9.75. Asian markets are mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 up 66.03 points (0.30%) and China's Shanghai Composite down 32.82 (-1.21%). European markets are mostly lower with London's FTSE 100 up 13.31 points (0.18%), Germany's DAX up 13.42 points (0.11%), and France's CAC 40 up 12.32 points (0.23%). The euro was up 0.00110 at 1.15825 and the U.S. dollar index was down 0.0450 at 95.2930. September 30-year T-Bonds were down 1/32nds while December gold was unchanged at $1200.40 and October crude oil was up $0.55 at $68.30. Soybeans on China's Dalian Exchange closed up 3.19% while meal was up 1.51%.
