Bid structures show a modest carry in white, with hard red winter flat through October and red spring with a 15 cent carry into December. Crop Progress...With cereal grain harvest within 10% of being completed for Idaho and Washington, producers have been busy planting the fall wheat crop. Washington is nearly 30% planted and going in ahead of average while Idaho is nearly 10% planted and on-par with the average pace. Shipments...Weekly export inspections showed another week of relatively good wheat movement off U.S. ports, coming in at 15.7 mb to put the current year total at 208 mb and 31% below a year ago. Hard red winter registered 6.7 mb for the week, soft white at 4.1 mb and hard red spring posted 3.7 mb. Top destination off the west was Sri Lanka at 2.4 mb, followed by Thailand with 2 mb. Countries coming in near the 1.5 mb mark were Taiwan, Guatemala and Japan. -Norm Ruhoff Contributing Analyst Copyright 2018 DTN/Telvent. All Rights Reserved.
