DTN Early Word Grains 09/12 05:57 Mixed Markets, WASDE on Tap December corn was down 1, November soybeans were down 4 3/4, and December K.C. wheat was up 2 3/4. CME Globex Recap: Mixed equity markets but firmer energy markets as US fuel demand spikes ahead of Hurricane Florence. Grains await WASDE at 11:00am CDT with soybeans closing in on contract lows. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 113.99 points at 25,971.06 and the S&P 500 up 10.76 points at 2,887.89 while the 10-year Treasury yield ended at 2.972%. Early Wednesday, DJIA futures were up 2.00. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 down 60.08 points (-0.27%) and China's Shanghai Composite down 8.69 (-0.33%). European markets are mostly higher with London's FTSE 100 down 14.54 points (-0.20%), Germany's DAX up 33.09 points (0.28%), and France's CAC 40 up 28.25 points (0.53%). The euro was up 0.00110 at 1.16005 and the U.S. dollar index was down 0.0150 at 95.0920. September 30-year T-Bonds were up 9/32nds while December gold was up $0.30 at $1202.50 and October crude oil was up $0.41 at $69.66. Soybeans on China's Dalian Exchange closed down 1.03% while meal was up 0.16%.
