Recent demand continues to support white wheat, while farm selling interest has waned at current price levels for hard red winter. Crop Progress..USDA reported both Idaho and Washington sowed another 15% of the winter wheat crop last week, with each state's progress now running ahead of average at 40% and 65% complete, respectively. Oregon now stands at 20% planted and 4% ahead of the average pace. Shipments...Weekly export inspections showed total U.S. wheat shipments were on part with the prior week at 14.9 mb, putting the year-to-date total at 240 mb and 29% below a year ago. Both hard red winter and spring wheat posted loadings near 6 mb for the week, while soft white wheat saw the pace slip to 1.2 mb.
