DTN Early Word Grains 09/27 06:14 Grains Softer, Chopping Lower Ahead of USDA December corn was down 1 1/4 cents, November soybeans were down 1 1/2 cents, and December K.C. wheat was down 3 1/4 cents. CME Globex Recap: Global equity markets are weaker Thursday, although the U.S. is trying to bounce back after the Fed rate rise hit stocks Wednesday. The combination of steady interest rate rises amid a trade war between the world's two largest economies is plenty to be concerned about. Grains are weaker as we await the next fundamental data release on Friday. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 106.93 points at 26,385.28 and the S&P 500 down 9.59 points at 2,905.97 while the 10-year Treasury yield ended at 3.052%. Early Thursday, DJIA futures were up 4.00. Asian markets are lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 down 237.05 points (-0.99%) and China's Shanghai Composite down 15.04 (-0.54%). European markets are mostly lower with London's FTSE 100 up 4.24 points (0.06%), Germany's DAX down 58.70 points (-0.47%), and France's CAC 40 down 17.42 points (-0.32%). The euro was down 0.00560 at 1.17805 and the U.S. dollar index was up 0.2380 at 94.5210. September 30-year T-Bonds were up 4/32nds while December gold was up $0.50 at $1196.60 and November crude oil was up $0.80 at $72.37 Soybeans on China's Dalian Exchange closed down 0.35% while meal was up 0.09%.
