DTN Early Word Grains 10/03 05:54 Follow-Through Strength on Harvest Delays, Russian Export Concerns December corn was up 1 cent, November soybeans were up 2 cents and December K.C. wheat was up 1 1/4 cents. Tregg Cronin DTN Contributing Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: December corn was up 1 cent, November soybeans were up 2 cents and December K.C. wheat was up 1 1/4 cents. CME Globex Recap: Equities were mixed on Wednesday, but energy markets are mostly firmer as crude consolidates recent gains near the highs. October is a strong month from a seasonal perspective, and so far, grains appear to be following through on that trend. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 122.73 points at 26,773.94 and the S&P 500 down 1.16 points at 2,923.43 while the 10-year Treasury yield ended at 3.056%. Early Wednesday, DJIA futures were up 41.00. Asian markets were higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 down 159.66 points (-0.66%). European markets are mixed with London's FTSE 100 up 6.88 points (0.09%), Germany's DAX down 51.45 points (-0.42%), and France's CAC 40 up 3.83 points (0.07%). The euro was up 0.0.00155 at 1.15710 and the U.S. dollar index was down 0.0810 at 95.4010. September 30-year T-Bonds were down 11/32nds while December gold was up $0.20 at $1207.20 and November crude oil was up $0.03 at $75.26. Soybeans on China's Dalian Exchange are closed for holiday.
