Spot basis for soft white at 119 over is up 17 cents from last week, hard red winter at 145 over is up a dime and dark northern spring basis climbed 15 cents to 115 over. Crop Progress...USDA reported good winter wheat planting progress in both Idaho and Oregon last week. Idaho put in another 11% of the crop and sets slightly above the average pace at 95% planted. Oregon saw another 19% planted and is now 10% behind average at 70% sown. Washington put in another 5%, setting slightly ahead of average at 92% planted. Moisture is in the forecast for the Pacific Northwest later this week. Shipments...Weekly export inspections showed a slower pace of loadings for U.S. wheat last week, coming in at 14.1 mb to put year-to-date totals at 301 mb and 24% behind a year ago. Hard red winter was the top shipper last week with 5.6 mb, followed by soft white at 3.1 mb and red spring at 2.9 mb.
