DTN Early Word Grains 10/29 05:46 Gains Across the Grain Room, Wheat Declares Itself 'Back' December corn was up 2 1/2, November soybeans were up 6, and December KC wheat was up 5 3/4. CME Globex Recap: Global equities are mostly better around the world Monday with Europe bouncing back after hitting two-year lows last week. The USD Index is stronger Monday after tying 14-month highs last week. Grains are posting follow-through strength with wheat markets leading the charge on a pick up in US export business last week. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Friday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 296.24 points at 24,688.31 and the S&P 500 down 46.88 points at 2,658.69, while the 10-year Treasury yield ended at 3.087%. Early Monday, DJIA futures are up 3.00 points. Asian markets were lower with Japan's Nikkei 225 down 34.80 points (-0.16%) and China's Shanghai Composite was down 56.74 points (-2.18%). European markets are mostly higher with London's FTSE 100 up 57.97 points (0.84%), Germany's DAX up 40.02 points (0.36%), and France's CAC 40 down 64.93 points (-1.29%). The euro was down 0.00435 points at 1.13860 and the U.S. dollar index was up 0.3040 points at 96.6230. September 30-year T-Bonds were up 2/32nds while December gold was down $5.80 at $1230.00 and November crude oil was down 0.58 cents at $67.01. Soybeans on China's Dalian Exchange closed down 1.00% and soymeal closed down 0.63%.
