DTN Early Word Grains 10/30 06:06 Lightly Mixed Grains Overnight Ahead of Harvest Completion December corn was up 1/2 cent, November soybeans were up 2 cents, and December KC wheat was down 1/2 cent. CME Globex Recap: Global stocks are mixed with firmer Asian closes but softer trade in Europe following another washout day in the US yesterday. Commodities as a whole are on the same trend with the Bloomberg Commodity Index hitting 6-week lows yesterday before recovering. Grains are quiet Tuesday morning. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Monday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 245.39 points at 24,442.92 and the S&P 500 down 17.44 points at 2,641.25, while the 10-year Treasury yield ended at 3.117%. Early Tuesday, DJIA futures are up 85.00 points. Asian markets were higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 up 307.49 points (1.45%) and China's Shanghai Composite was up 25.94 points (1.02%). European markets are mostly weaker with London's FTSE 100 up 3.80 points (0.11%), Germany's DAX down 22.10 points (-0.19%), and France's CAC 40 down 13.41 points (-0.27%). The euro was down $0.00395 at $1.13700 and the U.S. dollar index was up 0.1640 cents at $96.8510. September 30-year T-Bonds were down 19/32nds while December gold was down $4.30 at $1223.30 and November crude oil was down 0.40 cents at $66.64. Soybeans on China's Dalian Exchange closed down 1.70% and soymeal closed down 1.54%.
