DTN Early Word Grains 11/01 06:22 Grains Stronger, Soybeans Weaker Before Midwest Turns Wetter December corn was up 1 1/4, November soybeans were down 3 3/4, and December KC wheat was up 4. Tregg Cronin DTN Contributing Analyst Pre-5:00 a.m. CME Globex: December corn was up 1 1/4, November soybeans were down 3 3/4, and December KC wheat was up 4. CME Globex Recap: Equities mixed around the globe overnight, but U.S. stocks are acting much more stable this week. The energy complex is weaker, with crude oil hitting fresh lows for the move and the lowest level since August 16 as U.S. inventories continue to rise. Wheat is leading the charge Thursday on firmer basis and spreads. Export sales should set the tone. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 241.12 points at 25,115.76 and the S&P 500 up 29.11 points at 2,711.74, while the 10-year Treasury yield ended at 3.163%. Early Thursday, DJIA futures are up 116.00. Asian markets were mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 down 232.81 points (-1.06%) and China's Shanghai Composite up 3.45 points (0.13%). European markets are mixed with London's FTSE 100 down 5.91 points (-0.08%), Germany's DAX up 75.26 points (0.60%), and France's CAC 40 up 9.32 points (0.18%). The euro was up $0.00580 at $1.13890 and the U.S. dollar index was down 0.5210 at 96.5840. September 30-year T-Bonds were down 8/32nds while December gold was up $11.40 at $1226.40. December crude oil was down 0.47 at $64.84. Soybeans on China's Dalian Exchange closed down 0.81% and soymeal closed down 1.42%.
