DTN Early Word Grains 11/28 06:00 Grains Firmer as Trade War Dominates December corn was up 1/2 cent, November soybeans were up 2 1/2 cents, and December KC wheat was up 4 1/4 cents. Tregg Cronin DTN Contributing Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: December corn was up 1/2 cent, November soybeans were up 2 1/2 cents, and December KC wheat was up 4 1/4 cents. CME Globex Recap: Mostly quiet financial markets overnight with all headlines seemingly trade-war related. The USD Index is back up against 15-month highs this morning and will undoubtedly have a large move based on the coming weekend happenings. Grains are firmer with month end and first notice day approaching. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Tuesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 108.49 points at 24,748.73 and the S&P 500 up 8.72 points at 2,682.17 while the 10-year Treasury yield ended at 3.059%. Early Wednesday, DJIA futures are up 67.00. Asian markets were higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 up 224.62 points (1.02%) and China's Shanghai Composite was up 27.06 points (1.05%). European markets are mixed with London's FTSE 100 down 10.02 points (-0.14%), Germany's DAX up 18.05 points (0.16%), and France's CAC 40 up 18.73 points (0.38%). The euro was down 0.00105 at 1.13015 and the U.S. dollar index was up 0.0150 at 97.3810. September 30-year T-Bonds were up 5/32nds while December gold was down $0.20 at $1219.70 and December crude oil was down $0.13 at $51.43. Soybeans on China's Dalian Exchange closed down 0.72% and soymeal closed up 0.13%.
