DTN Early Word Grains 11/29 05:45 Weaker Grain Markets with Exports, Summit in Focus December corn was down 1/2 cents, January soybeans were down 4 1/2 cents, and December KC wheat was down 1 1/4 cents. Tregg Cronin DTN Contributing Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: December corn was down 1/2 cents, January soybeans were down 4 1/2 cents, and December KC wheat was down 1 1/4 cents. CME Globex Recap: European equity markets followed through to match U.S. gains overnight, but U.S. futures are implying a step back this morning. The U.S. Dollar Index traded sharply lower yesterday on more dovish comments from Fed Chair Powell who seemed to change his tune about interest rates a bit after a critique from the President. Grains are weaker after trading higher early in the overnight in the gear up to the weekend's summit. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 617.70 points at 25,366.43 and the S&P 500 up 61.62 points at 2,743.79 while the 10-year Treasury yield ended at 3.048%. Early Thursday, DJIA futures are down 49.00. Asian markets were mixed with Japan's Nikkei 225 up 85.58 points (0.39%) and China's Shanghai Composite was down 34.29 points (-1.39%). European markets are higher with London's FTSE 100 up 53.00 points (0.76%), Germany's DAX up 57.65 points (0.51%), and France's CAC 40 up 40.20 points (0.81%). The euro was down 0.00125 at 1.13790 and the U.S. dollar index was up 0.0470 at 96.8800. September 30-year T-Bonds were up 22/32nds while December gold was up $2.00 at $1231.80 and December crude oil was down $0.69 at $49.60. Soybeans on China's Dalian Exchange closed up 0.42% and soymeal closed up 0.39%.
