DTN Closing Grain Comments 12/27 14:23 Corn Closes Up Modestly, Beans Lower, and Wheat Mixed in Low-Volume Trade Corn has held up fairly well Thursday, closing up a 1 1/4 cents, while both soybeans and wheat had given back most of the early gains in low-volume holiday trade. Little bullish news in the way of export business continues to weigh on markets, which have plentiful, if not excess, supplies. In another few months, that burdensome supply, especially in the case of soybeans, could reach its peak, with mostly favorable South American weather, and a record-large Brazilian crop likely to hit the export market.
