CCC completed a donation tender for 2.2 mb of U.S. white wheat for donation to Yemen and Taiwan also committed to a total of 4 mb of U.S. wheat. Nearby basis levels held steady on the protein wheats, while soft white wheat saw Relative Values...An evaluation of spreads between Portland cash wheat prices highlights the relative weakness of the dark northern spring wheat markets this year. Comparing the spread between 14% dark northern spring 11.5% protein hard red winter since June 2009 shows spring wheat averaging a $1.20 premium. The spread reached a high of $3.27 in June 2011 and low of - $.22 in May 2014 and currently sets at a $.25 premium. Comparing the spread between dark northern spring and white wheat shows spring wheat had an average premium of $1.83.
