DTN Early Word Grains 01/25 05:48 Mixed Trade on Export Confirmation, Trade Talk News March corn is up 3/4 cents, March soybeans are down 1/2 cents, and March K.C. wheat is down 3 1/2 cents. By Tregg Cronin DTN Contributing Analyst 6:00 a.m. CME Globex: March corn is up 3/4 cents, March soybeans are down 1/2 cents, and March K.C. wheat is down 3 1/2 cents. CME Globex Recap: Higher global equity markets as we get set to close another week of trading. Trump headlines were on the light side Thursday, but that should increase as we get closer to the next round of trade talks on January 30-31. Official December Chinese import and export data was released last night, showing strong full-year demand for crude oil, natural gas, corn and wheat but soft imports for soybeans, copper and coal. Grains are mixed Friday morning as wheat needs confirmation of recent export business before moving higher while soybeans await more yield reports from Brazil and headlines from the trade talks. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes on Thursday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average down 22.38 at 24,553.24 and the S&P 500 up 3.63 at 2,638.70 while the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 2.712%. Early Friday, the March DJIA futures are up 152 points. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 up 198.93 (0.97%) and China's Shanghai Composite up 10.03 points (0.39%). European markets are higher with London's FTSE 100 up 13.23 points (0.19%), Germany's DAX up 126.02 points (1.13%) and France's CAC 40 up 30.87 points (0.63%). The March Euro is up 0.003 at 1.140 and the March U.S. dollar index is down 0.192 at 96.105. The March 30-Year T-Bond is down 7/32nds, while February gold is up $2.30 at $1,282.10 and March crude oil is up $0.16 at $53.29. Soybeans on China's Dalian Exchange were up 0.03% while soybean meal was down -0.15%.
