IA 1,100 110.00-117.00 170.00-190.00 LAST WEEK'S ROUND UP: Another crazy week is over and in the books, trade was done a little bit every day last week, and it was another week of huge price ranges. Kansas live prices ranged from $110 to $120, while the Texas range was $100 to $120. Nebraska's dressed deals ranged from $170 to $190, and Iowa had ranges of $158 to $190. Just where weighted averages will fall is a mystery. According to the Friday afternoon Mandatory reports weekly trade volumes were as follows: KS 12,240; NE 35,156; TX 8,642; IA 28,935; CO not available due to confidentiality. Beef cutouts have also reported some wide ranges in the last ten days or so. Choice cutouts set a record gain on May 4th of $32.60, and Friday they set a record loss of $16.60. Select cutouts set its record gain of $34.05 on May 5th, then set a record loss on Friday of $18.34. DTN MORNING COMMENTS: The country is quiet this morning with bids and asking prices not established. Significant trade volume will likely be delayed until the second half of the week. Beef cutouts are expected to be lower with generally light box movement. For the week ending May 09, 2020, Imported Beef Passed for Entry in the U.S. totaled 37,456, 100.78% of the previous week and 98.09% of the 4-week average.
