DTN Closing Grain Comments 10/06 13:47 Row Crops Fall Back, Along With Energies December corn closed down 5 1/4 cents and November soybeans were down 8 1/2 cents, pressured by favorable harvest progress and a pullback in energy prices from Tuesday's new highs. December Minneapolis wheat closed up 13 1/2 cents at a new contract high of $9.39, anticipating a lower ending stocks estimate in next week's WASDE report. November soybeans closed down 8 1/2 cents and March soybeans were down 8 1/4 cents. December KC wheat closed up 4 cents, December Chicago wheat was up 1 1/4 cents and December Minneapolis wheat was up 13 1/2 cents. The December U.S. Dollar Index is trading up 0.28 at 94.25. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 51.29 points at 34,365.96. December gold is up $2.60 at $1,763.50, December silver is up $0.03 at $22.64 and December copper is down $0.0250. November crude oil is down $1.76 at $77.17, November heating oil is down $0.0580, November RBOB gasoline is down $0.0593 and November natural gas is down $0.622.
