This week, Northern dressed deals were marked at mostly $218, fully steady with last week's weighted averages, a good many of these cattle are set for delivery the week of January 31st and February 7th. Southern live transactions were at mostly $137, $1 to $1.50 higher than last week's weighted averages. The January 1 on feed report listed 12.0 million head, up 1% from January 2021, this is the second highest January 1 inventory since the series began in 1996.
