DTN Early Word Grains 04/28 05:50 Grain Prices Mixed With USDA Set to Report on Export Sales Pre-6 a.m. Globex Prices: July corn was up 5 1/2 cents, July soybeans were down 2 1/2 cents and July KC wheat was down 5 cents. CME GLOBEX RECAP: Early Thursday, Dow Jones futures are trading higher along with stocks in Europe and Asia. Investors will be watching for earnings reports from Apple, Amazon and Twitter on Thursday. USDA's weekly report of export sales, weekly U.S. jobless claims and an estimate of first quarter GDP are due out at 7:30 a.m. CDT. OUTSIDE MARKETS: Previous closes Wednesday showed the Dow Jones Industrial Average up 61.75 at 33,301.93 and the S&P 500 up 8.76 at 4,175.20 as the 10-Year Treasury yield ended at 2.82%, near its highest in three years. Early Thursday, June Dow Jones futures are trading up 388 points. Asian markets are higher with Japan's Nikkei 225 index up 1.75% and China's Shanghai Composite Index up 0.58%. European markets are higher with the spot futures of the London FTSE 100 trading up 0.74%, spot futures of Germany's DAX trading up 2.32% and spot futures of France's CAC Index trading up 2.01%. The June euro is down $0.0036 at $1.0545. The June U.S. Dollar Index is up 0.48 at 103.44. The June 30-year T-bond is down 2/32nds, while June gold is down $0.80 at $1,887.90 and June crude oil is up $0.85 at $102.87. On China's Dalian exchange, September corn was up 0.7%, May soybeans were up 0.2%, September soybean meal was up 0.6% and September soybean oil was up 1.5%. June Malaysian palm oil is trading down 1.1%.
