DTN Closing Grain Comments 05/23 13:54 Corn, Wheat and US Stocks Trade Higher Monday After a week of sharp selling in the stock market that left investors on edge last week, Monday's trading saw a mostly green commodity board with active contracts of corn, wheat and the Dow Jones futures all higher. July soybeans closed lower however, with bearish influence from meal. Todd Hultman DTN Lead Analyst GENERAL COMMENTS: July corn closed up 7 1/2 cents and December corn was up 7 cents. July soybeans closed down 18 1/4 cents and November soybeans were down 3 cents. July KC wheat closed up 23 3/4 cents, July Chicago wheat was up 21 1/4 cents and September Minneapolis wheat was up 18 3/4 cents. The June U.S. Dollar Index is trading down 1.00 at 102.17. The Dow Jones Industrial Average is up 659.0 points at 31,920.90. June gold is up $11.30 at $1,853.40, July silver is up $0.14 at $21.81 and July copper is up $0.0650. July crude oil is up $0.09 at $110.37, July heating oil is up $0.0316, July RBOB gasoline is down $0.0023 and July natural gas is up $0.622.
